Welcome to Kids in Mind.
Together, we build brighter futures.

Kids in Mind is committed to being the UK's leading charity in providing mental health support to disadvantaged children and young people who have escaped serious domestic violence and found sanctuary in a Women’s refuge. We believe in compassion, action, and results. Our values are the cornerstone of every initiative, every support session, and every life we touch.

About our Founders

Philip Gower's heart beats with a deep commitment to lighting the way for children who've wandered through dark places. As a businessman turned philanthropist, his life's mission has become a sanctuary for young souls facing the enormity of abuse and neglect. Philip’s journey, filled with meaningful partnerships and impactful initiatives, shines a bright light on the power of kindness and support.

His path has been shaped by the stories of resilience he’s encountered, especially through his active involvement in charities focusing on mental well-being for the youth including the NSPCC, Barnardos, and KidsOut. These experiences unveiled the urgent needs of 'forgotten children,' those at the brink of despair threatened by the spectres of loneliness, misunderstanding, and neglect. Without a guiding hand, many of these children could find themselves ensnared in the thorns of life's most grim circumstances. Seeing the potential for a brighter future, Philip, along with Julian Margolin and Gordon Moulds, laid the foundation for Kids in Mind in 2023.

At Kids in Mind, we dream of a world where each child feels seen, heard, and valued. Through Philip's vision, we are growing a community rooted in empathy, hope, and inclusivity. Join us on this beautiful journey of healing and transformation, where together, we'll ensure no child walks alone.
